After the CES show, a lot of people seemed to be upset at the anemic showing of robotic solutions this year. In this collection of links, I show off some of the more interesting articles I found.
- Really? You Call That a Robot? – Seems as though Derek Clark was none too enthused by the soft, furry solutions shown this year. And his take on the iRobot AVA made me think he thought iRobot was going to offer Serge this year. From my reports, it sounds like iRobot was showing a prototype to put a stake in the ground after all the press send up from vGo and Anybots this past year.
- Where Have All the Robots Gone?: CES 2011 Analysis – Erik from PopMech discusses what seems to be the flight from CES by the robotics companies. I think Erik should be looking more toward INNOROBO in Lyon in March for the next set of yammering robots.
- Need for Low Cost Sensors in Robotics – Fred from RoboDynamics gets a guest spot at hizook discussing the need for low cost sensors, the success of the Kinect hacking and the goal of a low-cost robotics platform.
